Das Wirtschaftswachstum in Thüringen lag im ersten Halbjahr 2007 nur noch bei 2.7% (preisbereinigt). Noch im Vorjahr lag das Wirtschaftswachstum bei 3.1% wie das Thüringer Landesamt für Statistik in Erfurt mitteilt.
Unter den neuen Bundesländern (ohne Berlin) liegt Thüringen damit auf dem letzten Rang. Bundesweit liegt das unterdurchschnittliche thüringer Wachstum auf Rang 11. Mecklenburg Vorpommern hat mit 4% das stärkste Wachstum, Berlin mit nur 1% das niedrigste Wachstum zu verzeichnen.
